Hidden seats on venues

Keep certain seats hidden from the general public and make them available only through specific promo codes or private flows.

Who this is for

Hosts who want VIP, sponsor, or members-only seats that are not visible to everyone on the event page.

Quick steps

  1. Create or open an event with an assigned seating venue.
  2. Identify the seats or sections you want to hide.
  3. Set those tickets to Hidden.
  4. Optionally link hidden tickets to specific promo codes.
  5. Save and publish your changes.

Guests will not see hidden seats by default, and you can control access through codes or private links.

Step-by-step walkthrough

1. Open your event with assigned seating

  1. Go to Events.
  2. Open the event that uses your reserved seating venue (for example, My Venue 1 Event).

2. Configure hidden tickets

From the ticket configuration area, review the tickets connected to your price levels (for example, Back seats, Table seats, VIP Seat).

Use the visibility controls to:

  • Set tickets you want publicly available to Visible.
  • Set special access tickets (for example, VIP or sponsor sections) to Hidden.

For each ticket you want to hide:

  1. Click the price or ticket row (for example, $15.00).
  2. Toggle between Visible and Hidden.
  3. Optionally add or adjust an Enter a code field that will later be tied to promo codes.

Hidden tickets will not appear to guests unless they meet the conditions you set (for example, entering a valid promo code).

3. Save and publish

  1. Save your ticket settings.
  2. Click Save and publish so the latest configuration appears on the public event page.

Troubleshooting

Guests cannot see seats I expected to be visible
  • Check that the tickets for those seats are set to Visible, not Hidden.
  • Make sure you do not have a promo-code-only setup on those tickets if you want them open to everyone.
Hidden seats appear public on the event page
  • Confirm you have published your latest changes.
  • Double-check that the hidden tickets are correctly tied to a code or flow, and that you did not accidentally switch them back to Visible.
Promo-code-only seats are still not appearing after entering a code
  • Verify that the promo code is configured for the correct tickets and that the ticket itself is hidden but unlocked by that code.
