Segment guests for targeted campaigns¶
Use CRM views and email campaigns in 3Common to target specific guest segments and send tailored messages.
Who this is for
Hosts and teams who want to build targeted guest lists and send focused campaigns (for example, a rock concert audience) from 3Common.
Quick steps¶
- Open CRM from the 3Common host dashboard.
- Create a new saved view for your target audience.
- Add filters so the view only includes the guests you care about.
- Export the segment and start an email to those contacts.
- Write and preview your campaign email.
- Send the campaign and confirm it appears in Email Marketing.
- Return to CRM to add any extra columns and refine your view over time.
When you are done, you will have a reusable audience segment and a sent email campaign you can measure.

6. Address and draft your email¶
3Common will open an email composer targeting that segment.

- Enter an engaging subject line, for example:
Our new rock concerts are releasing soon! Stay tuned. - In the body, write a message tailored to this audience.
- Use formatting, links, and any brand elements you need.
- Preview the email before sending.
7. Send the campaign¶
- When you are happy with the preview, send the campaign to your segment.

- Open your campaign to confirm it was delivered.
9. Review metrics and refine your CRM view¶
- In Email Marketing, open the Campaign Metrics for your email.
- Return to CRM.
- Open the Rock concert audience view.
- Add any extra fields you want to track for this segment (for example, engagement, last campaign, or tags).
- Fine-tune Filter, Sort, and Columns settings as needed and save the view.
Troubleshooting¶
My view is empty or missing guests I expect
Double-check that your event filters are correct. Confirm that you are not using is none of when you mean is any of. Make sure Email is not empty is appropriate for this segment.
I cannot email as many contacts as I expected
Check the view row count before exporting. Confirm that all intended guests have valid email addresses in CRM.
I do not see my campaign in Email Marketing
Refresh the Sent tab after sending. Confirm you actually sent the campaign, not just previewed it. Make sure you are looking at the right workspace.
Filters and sorts keep resetting
After you configure filters and sorts, save the view so you can reuse it later.
