Ticketing & payment processing fees are a normal part of selling paid tickets online. How you handle them directly affects guest experience, headline pricing, and your bottom‑line margin.

3Common gives you full control: you can either pass fees on to your guests (they pay the service + processing fee at checkout) or absorb them yourself (fees are taken out of the ticket price you set).

How to Configure Fees

When setting your ticket prices, you'll see a clear option to either pass the fees on to buyers (default) or absorb them yourself. The interface shows a detailed breakdown of the service fee and how each choice affects the buyer’s total.

If you toggle on “Absorb Fees,” you’ll immediately see how the buyer’s total changes. You can choose to pass on or absorb fees for each ticket type.
