This guide will walk you through placing holds on specific seats, rows, or entire sections for an event using your seating chart.
Important: Edit the Event, Not the Venue Template
Before you begin, ensure you are editing the seating chart for the specific event instance, not the main venue template. You can do this by navigating to your event overview and selecting the event you wish to modify.

Step-by-Step Guide to Placing Holds
- Access the Seating Chart Inventory
- From your selected event's management page, open the seating chart.
- Click on the Inventory tab to manage seat availability.

- Select What You Want to Hold
- In the bottom-right corner of the screen, choose whether you want to select by Seat, Row, or Section.
- Click on the corresponding seats, rows, or sections on your chart to highlight them.

- Move Your Selection to Holds
- Once your seats are selected, an icon representing your selection (e.g., a chair icon) will appear in the top-left of the editor.
- Drag this icon and drop it into the designated Holds area.

- Save Your Changes
- Click the Save Changes button to confirm.
